Whenever two people meet…

According to the American philosopher and psychologist William James, “Whenever two people meet, there are really six people present.  There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other person sees him, and each as he really is.”

So what this means for the family business is that if a family of four sit down together there at least 24 people involved so it is not surprising that from time to time we all hear of stories where family conflicts are taking place.  Communication is critical to the success of the family business and given the numbers involved it is easy to see why miscommunication can occur.
